Oct 29, 2008: My name is Johnathan Riddle and I wrestled for 4 years and graduated in 1995.  I was on JV for my first 3 years and was named team MVP my junior year with 30+ wins and only losing 6.  I finally got my chance my senior year with the varsity team and wrestled 130 pounds.  I finishes 3rd in the Pinecrest high Invitational my senior year.  I finished with a .500 record my only year on varsity which I was pretty proud of to have had no big time experience on that level and at a school like Orange who is known for there outstanding wrestling teams, i took pride in that.  Coach Shriner gave me a chance and everytime I think my life is bad I think back to those good old days on the mat and wish I could go back.  I worked hard and gave everything I had and I think everyone I wrestled with knew that.

Sep 13, 2007: Senior transfer, wrestled for one year under Coach King.  Graduated ECU in 85, served in the army and now a deputy sheriff in Dillon County, SC. 

Wrestling at Orange was the highlight of the one year I spent there.  Good luck to the team, always.

Dec 21, 2006: I wrestled 152 lbs at Orange High School and graduated in 2001.  I was a 2 time regional champion and finished 2^nd in the state my senior year.  I graduated from UNC in 2005 and since have moved to Houston Texas.  I currently work for an Alaska based Oil and Gas company as a Petroleum Geologist.  Whenever I get frustrated with my life, I think back to my matches in high school—all the training I put in, and when my body was exhausted and my lungs screamed for air I was taught to never submit.  We share a common bond in that we have all climbed mountains, so we can now simply step over the hills.

Nov 14, 2006: I served 6 years overseas in the USArmy!  I have a career in law enforcement.  I currently work as a Federal Officer in Washington, DC!!!  Go Panthers!

Nov 09, 2006: Currently Enrolled @ UNC-Chapel Hill and double majoring in Business and Political Science. I am not wrestling at the university.

Nov 06, 2006: Just finished a 12 year stint in the USAF.   I'm transitioning to a new aircraft (F-16C) after 6 years flying the  F-15C.  I'm moving to South Carolina, where I will be in the SC Air  National Guard flying part-time.  Hopefully, I'll be hired by an  airline soon! 

I'm glad to see and read about so much success at OHS  with the Wrestling program.  I'm also proud to see we have many alums  that have chosen to serve our great country.  Good luck and godspeed  to you all!

     I JUST WANTED TO STOP IN AND TELL YOU ALL HOW ME AND MY BROTHER ARE DOING. FIRST LET ME SAY MY NAME, MY NAME IS JERMAINE HODGE AND I AM A 2X STATE CHAMPION FROM ORANGE HIGH SCHOOL. MY BROTHER IS A 3X STATE CHAMPION FROM ORANGE HIGH SCHOOL. 

right NOW I AM WRESTLING ON THE WORLD CLASS ATHLETE PROGRAM FOR THE ARMY. I HAVE BEEN ON THE TEAM FOR 1YEAR NOW. I WRESTLING 121LBS. OR 55KG I WAS A ALL-AMERICAN LAST YEAR AND I LOOK FORWARD TO WINNING MY 1ST NATIONAL TITLE THIS YEAR. I TRAIN IN COLORADO SPRINGS AT THE O.T.C AND ON POST, RIGHT NOW I AM RANKED 6TH IN THE NATION.

Nov 19, 2005: Currently a PFC in the United Stated Marine Corp stationed at Naval Air Station Pensacola. In school for Avation Airframes, and will be graduating Febuary 18, 2005. Then I will be going to my "C" school either in NAS Lamoore California or MCAS Cherry Point North Carolina. Wrestled heavyweight under Coach Shriner for three years. Will probably be going overseas after my C school, and then who knows.... Feel free to write, and have a nice day.

Nov 19, 2005: Wrestled for OHS from 99-03 and was a regional champ and 5th in the state senior year at 215 pound weight class. Currently enrolled at North Carolina State University.

Nov 19, 2005: Currently teaching and coaching at Dunmore High School in Dunmore, PA. . "Keep the tradition going!!!"

Nov 19, 2005: Voted MVP in 1971, won Sectionals in 1972, voted Most Outstanding Wrestler in 1972.

Nov 19, 2005: First Orange High wrester to win a conference title (1972). Voted MVP in 1972.

Nov 19, 2005: First OHS Wrestling coach.

Nov 19, 2005: 2nd in state '89, 1st Regional - '89 Weight - 171
USAF veteran - Pararescue. Currently teaching and coaching at OHS.

Nov 19, 2005: Redshirted 01-02 at UNC-Chapel Hill with a 2-4 record,
including a pin. 02-03 will be a redshirt freshman wrestler vying for the starting position at 149.

Nov 19, 2005: I was a backup my entire senior season. After graduation I went to Durham Tech for 2 years in the college transfer program and I am now enrolled at Randolph Community College in the photography program which
is one of the best in the nation.
